"Staff were helpful and friendly, but we only spoke in Japanese so not sure if they accommodate guests from abroad very often. Food was ample and tasty (traditional Japanese foods) and served in the privacy of the room. Pillows are traditional Japanese style (small and somewhat hard) so I would recommend bringing your own pillow if you prefer a larger and softer pillow. "Well priced ryokan in an excellent location only a minute or two walk from the yubatake. Ryokan and room is older but the room is large and comfortable. The indoor public bath is large and there is an outdoor public bath as well that can accommodate a few guests. Food is well presented with beautifully plated dishes and good variety. Second night dinner is a bit more special than the first night. Service is good and staff speak English. "
