The hotel is located right in the middle of the island’s hustle and bustle and is about 5-10 min walking distance from Ton Sai pier. When we arrived by passenger ferry we were picked up and our luggage was carried. The receptionist was very friendly.
The hotel was recently renovated, however they left out the bathrooms. While the room itself is new (bed is comfy, too) the bathrooms are absolutely catastrophic, they must be from the 80s or 90s. Everything in the bathrooms is super old and worn down and the shower is directly next to the toilet and every time you take a shower the entire bathroom is literally flooded including the toilet bowl. It’s a very weird design.
The rooms are cleaned daily, however the maids forgot to replace our towels on our second day and I had to go to the reception to request new ones. I had the feeling that I wasn’t quite believed and reluctantly handed out new towels.
As the hotel is so central it is very hard to fall asleep at night, the party life only starts getting quieter around 1-2AM. I had to use ear plugs to be able to sleep.
Would perhaps chose a quieter location next time and as said before, the bathrooms really spoil the experience, I still don’t understand why they were left out during the renovations.
