"March 2024 - Very nice place to lodge away from it all. Pleasant warm rooms and amenities including hot tub and sauna. Be prepared for the wind. Breakfast was great. We appreciated the wake up call for the auroras, but unfortunately it was too cloudy to see very much of it. We enjoyed our two night stay very well. "

"Beautiful home, great location, loved the sauna. Only 2 of the 3 beds were made before our party arrive so we had to hunt for the extra bedding but non issue in the end. Great coffee, shower and heated floors awesome! Highly recommend "

"Stayed two nights a the Hotel Ranga and so glad that my wife and I added the extra day. The restaurant was all that we expected and more and a great place to spend a cold windy night in the South. It’s also only an hour or so from Reykjavik so well worth the drive for the high quality authentic Icelandic cuisine. Rooms are very comfortable and many have access to one of two outdoor hot tubs. Location also very convenient to main attractions. "

"Very clean, comfortable hotel that is centrally located to southern Iceland sites. Hotel is off the beaten path, but is very quiet with beautiful scenery and excellent viewing location for the northern lights and star gazing (very little light pollution). Food is very good. Breakfast is excellent with tons of options. Would definitely stay here again!"

"The area is okay, but can tell the property is a little bit rundown with creaking floor sound and thin walls. Certain parts of the floor are also rotten and old. Toilet is very small as well. But the reception area is beautiful and the breakfast is the best we had throughout our trip. The staff are rather nice as well. "

"This was a wonderful place to stay! The owner was exceptional in taking care of our needs! It felt like we were staying with family—it was quiet—the bed could have been a little more comfortable—and it would be nice to have a place for suitcases—I would come back and highly recommend it!"

"The guesthouse has a big kitchen and many toilets. The rooms are extremely small and you have to play a little bit of Tetris to get your stuff arranged., but we knew that. Sadly the mattress was a bit thin and not that comfy. The host was very friendly. Wouldn't recommend staying for more than one night tough."

"Large, clean and spacious 2 bedroom house. We didn't really use the kitchen but it seemed well stocked. The bathroom was clean and there is a washing machine. It is about a 10 min drive from the main highway and there is a good restaurant at a nearby campground that is a 5 min drive away. Grocery store and gas station 10 min away at the main highway. The only complaint I have is the towels were small thin and scratchy. Otherwise great stay!"
