"It was a heat wave and the room had the sun streaming in, the heat was left on high, no fan, no air conditioning, no solutions. They said open the windows which we had no choice to do but soon had lots of mosquitos and biting bugs. Plus, it was our most expensive hotel - not worth it. The view was a gas station! "The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet in the morning was also excellent. The hotel itself is a bit secluded which I enjoyed, and the closest town, Selfoss, is about 15-20min drive so be mindful of that if you prefer to be somewhere that’s walkable to Selfoss. Overall it’s a great location. Very scenic and easy access to the Golden Circle and South Coast, and just 1-hour outside of Reykjavik if you want to visit the city."

"My stay at Skoga hotels by EJ was wonderful. The room. Was super clean. It was peaceful, and had everything we needed for a short stay. The breakfast was pretty good. Bacon, eggs, bread you can toast, fruit, yogurt, fruit juices, herring and marinated herring. Staff was exceptionally friendly, clean restrooms in the lobby. "Checking in is difficult and the property manager doesn’t always answer the phone. When she did she was rude. Only staff that is there is the breakfast crew and housekeeping gives clean towels daily Very cute place, no reception on the TV, hot tub has no cover and gets dirty easily and no jets. The location on the south coast is good"

"The property owner never sent me an instruction email. When I connected them to get a code and key, they provided no information other than a code. The code didn’t work, the main building look abandoned. It was terrible and felt like a scam. I’m hoping Expedia can help me get a refund because the property owner appears to be irresponsible and unaccountable. Do NOT book here. Expedia should not list them!"

"Das Hotel ist neu, allerdings auch noch im Bau! Wir wollten an den Strand und mussten über eine Baustelle laufen. Wir bekamen auch ein Zimmer mit nicht so schönem Blick auf Rohre, Planen usw. - hier hätte das Hotel uns echt mal ein schönes Zimmer geben können, da wirklich kaum Gäste dort waren. Die Preise des Restaurants sind viel zu hoch! Spa-Bereich war noch nicht geöffnet und im Zimmer sind überall QR-Codes aufgestellt, mit den Preisen für die Annehmlichkeiten. Das die Minibar etwas kostet...
