"Exceptional location and service"

"This was my first trip to Kyoto with my family (4 adults). We wanted a hotel that was close to Kyoto Station and JR WEST GROUP VIA INN PRIME KYOTOEKI HACHIJOGUCHI was the perfect place. This location provided us with a wide selection of restaurants and shops. There is also a large shopping mall located at the Kyoto Station and another shopping mall just a few blocks away. There was also a 7-11 located next door which guests have access through the hotel lobby. So convenient! We reserved two rooms, hoping that our rooms would be fairly close to each other. Thankfully, the rooms were on the same floor, but at different ends of the hallway. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a small refrigerator and large shower. However, counter space in the bathrooms were limited. We were able to get many of the toiletries in the lobby, such as toothbrushes, body lotion, facial masks, etc, which was very nice. We enjoyed the fresh towels that were delivered to our door each day, even though we did not need housekeeping service. The staff is very nice and helpful, however check-in was a bit confusing. Although we had a reservation for two rooms, we had to check in to each room separately via a kiosk, even though the rooms were under the same name. Check out had the same procedure. The staff was available to help, however it would have been nice to have the staff check us in and out at the front desk. Overall, Via Inn was a very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Loved the room and wish I could have stayed longer. The location, amenities, and breakfast were all great. Will definitely be staying here again when I visit Kyoto. Also if you want to do laundry, you can only do very small loads because their machines are wash & dry in 1. Meaning if you put too much it will not dry. The limit is very low as well so anything over 5 tshirts or maybe 2 jeans and a sweater might be too much and won't dry. There is a 10min coin laundry nearby though."

"We loved this hotel! The onsen is so beautiful, relaxing and clean. It has everything you would want for a great onsen experience. It is kid friendly and still quiet. The staff is very kind and helpful! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet all our days here and it had so many delicious options, Western and Japanese. The room was clean and spacious. Great location to get on the subway easily, yet you don’t hear it or notice in the day to day. I would definitely come back here! "

"One if the best APA hotels. Restaurant is great and Spa as well. No tattoos are allowed tho. Location is the best part. Near to kyoto station and all local buses. Shopping 🛍 center is also very close "
