"The hotel was very helpful in assisting us receiving our suitcases through Airporter service. Furthermore, they assisted us in paying cash for a parcel delivery that we organised from Tokyo. We booked two three night bookings separately and they made it very easy to link the two bookings so we did not need to change rooms. The room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed staying there for 6 nights. The smart TV allowed us to easily stream YouTube on TV. The only thing that I wish they did was service the room every two days rather than every three days. The distance to the subway station was not as close as we would have liked but it is an easy walk on a wide flat pathway majority of the way so easy for wheeling suitcases. The hotel is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. Whilst not surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafe, there are still many variety of eatery options in the surrounding area within short walking distance. We felt the hotel felt like a home in Kyoto. It was perfect for a family of four with the amount of space it offered. "

"Brilliant "

"I accidentally booked the wrong kind of room, but the staff there was quick to fix my mistake and put us in a room that could accommodate 2 people. The lobby is huge, which is nice because there were so many people coming in/out. They give you a locker to put your shoes in, as you cannot wear shoes in the hotel. We stayed in a room with 2 twin beds that I thought was pretty large by Japanese hotel standards. The onsen was open during most day time hours; of note, people are not allowed to have tattoos when you go into them. There are free sweet treats and free late night ramen available as well. We prepaid for breakfast, and I am so glad we did because it was the best hotel breakfast I ever had. There was an option to add breakfast to your stay if you initially did not have it included in your reservation. Washing clothes was free, but drying them was 100 yen per cycle. The hotel is located in a quieter part of the city a few blocks away from the canal, where there is a really nice walking/running/biking trail. Although it is in a quieter part of the city, there are a lot of restaurants/cafes nearby. Also very close to the Kyoto station and Shichijo station. I would 100% recommend staying here if you were to visit Kyoto!"

"Very refined and traditional inn, where the incredibly gracious host makes you feel straight at home. Breakfast is lovely, the whole hotel is spotless, and the onsen bath is a definite highlight. Very quiet neighbourhood, with all the major attractions a bus ride away. I hope to visit again soon. "
