"Absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Muso. We truly enjoyed our host, Ryo's energy and they honestly could not do enough for us. Great location, rooms are spacious by Japanese standards and perfectly clean. I couldn't recommend them more - you will not be disappointed"
"Beautiful ryokan on a quiet street with excellent and kind staff. Traditional breakfast and kaiseki were delicious. Close to transportation to major sites. Walking distance to Nishiki market. When we return to Kyoto we will stay again. Highly recommend."
"We had a great stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very big. We loved having a table inside the room where we could eat. We enjoyed breakfast in the room."
"Good value property located within walking distance of many locations while also being quiet and away from the crowd. Rooms were clean and great for budget conscious travellers."
"Great 3-night stay at Kyoto. Check-in was very smooth and the property was very clean and I liked the traditional tadami style. Location was very close to subway/bus and was easy to get to the major locations. Definitely recommend for visiting Kyoto."

"Cross hotel Kyoto is clean and modern design. And it is convenient to everywhere. This is my third time to stay with them. Absolutely my first and only choice"
"Our stay here was absolutely amazing during Obon festival. It is walking distance from Kyoto station, two malls and 3 conscience stores within 5 min walking distance. The staff is kind and very helpful with providing any food recommendations and as well as quick guides (ie., direction and history) to near by events. The amenities were amazing and available on the lobby and encouraged to take what you need as a part of the eco friendly initiatives in the hotel. There is a public bath accessible for guests and massage chairs at a cost. There is a laundry change machine available on the first floor but I do recommend avoid using the laundry machines, if possible. There are only 5 machines with both wash and dry functions on the same machine so there is quite a bit of wait for a machine and after completing a wash/dry cycle, your clothes are still wet. Otherwise, the entire stay was amazing and would definitely stay here again. "
"Beautiful hotel, lovely amenities, and the *best pillows. We had an incredible view of the city and train station, including the Shinkansen, which was an unexpected bonus. Location was fabulous for getting around on the trains. Really made our trip to Kyoto! "
"Beautiful hotel with unique, modern rooms and a great staff. Our favorite of our two-week stay by far. Very foreigner friendly and one of the more upscale hotels we stayed at. Rooms are gorgeous and feel very private. Great onsen, although worth noting it switches genders every day (so women can access one day, men the next). The "off" gender gets access to the sauna, which I did not try. Location is good, in the middle of everything with great transit options, but not in a very touristy area and not too many attractions directly walkable. Subway access is easy (<5 blocks either direction) but the stations in Kyoto can be quite confusing to navigate, so plan your routes on google maps before you leave the hotel. "
"The hotel location is great. The train is a short walk and there’s even a direct pathway. Not crowded part of town so that was nice too. Hotel is clean and the amenities are above and beyond. Breakfast buffet was also good. Service was top notch. We dropped our luggage off early and it was in our way by check in time."
"This is an amazing hotel, very central.location and the room had that little bit more space than the norm which was nice. Very friendly and helpful staff."
