We had a fantastic day here. We took advantage of the spa and had a fantastic spa treatment. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. I would say our room was older, but that was to be expected based on the style of hotel we chose. We chose this hotel because the grounds were huge and you felt like you weren’t overcrowded at the pool. Lots of room lots of pools to choose from an access to the beach was right there. We never felt like we were crowded or too many people around us. We felt like we were having a private stay. There was construction going on, but they did their very best to keep us away from it and to keep the noise down during key times. We took advantage of the tour desk and concierge and took a tour to monsoon Valley winery, which was an excellent tour and very much worth the price. A hotel is decently walkable, but taking a grab to get to the shopping mall or local site it’s not a problem. There is a night market that very walkable from the hotel and I’ll walk up the beach. Could take it to all kinds of other hotels and restaurant sites. Definitely would stay there again. Staff were awesome.

Var her for 20 år siden hvor det var et virkeligt smuk hotel. Nu virkede det gammel og slidt. Det var nok derfor de var i gang med renovering, som så resultere i vi spise morgenmad ud til en parkeringsplads i stedet for et smukt hav og i stedet for klaver musik høre stiksave og byggestøj. Vi var på gamle værelser som lugtede våde og som ikke have simple ting som stik kontakter ved ens seng. Vi rejste 8 mand og have i januar skrevet til hotellet vi gerne ville have værelser i samme område af hotellet, de var også søde at skrive tilbage det ville de arbejde på. Sendte dem en reminder 3 uger før afrejse igen positiv feedback. Da vi så ankommer placere de 6 af os i den ene ende af hotellet og 2 i den helt modsatte ende, jeg påpegede dette men det endte de kunne gøre var at tilbyde os at blive flytte i grupper så vi aldrig boede sammen på samme tid og ydermere til en upgrade pris på 200 kr Per værelse Per dag som løb op i en ekstra udgift på 6000 kr det sagde vi nej tak til. Selve servicen og morgenmaden var til gengæld i den super høje ende bare en skam man spise ud til en parkeringsplads. Alt i alt en noget skuffende oplevelse kontra det jeg havde første gang jeg kom her, tror ikke jeg kommer igen. Har været på en del 5 stjerne hoteller og dette syntes jeg max sniger sig op på en 4

Beautiful pool and beach view in a very large room was great but the real highlight for us was the friendliness of the staff, with no exceptions. Kids enjoyed the pools, ping pong, and badminton. Also the gardens were beautiful. We saw a small owl flying in them one evening and a variety of birds during the day. Breakfast was excellent, in particular the croissants and fresh honey on a comb. Just a lot of variety and it was all delicious. Also, walking distance to the night market was nice bonus for us. Only negative was construction around the south pool and adjacent building(leaving the 2 other pools available still). Was surprised when we arrived about that but it did not dampen our experience. Sign said it would complete Dec 2026.

They are doing a little construction, but I would stay again. If you’re looking for a historic hotel with some uniqueness, then this is it. They provide overnight supplies if you forgot something like a tooth brush or razor. Housekeeping is very good. They provide bottle water and have good internet and the normal stuff you would expect. Buffet is ok in morning, but quality of food could be a bit better, but I have a feeling with the construction and less occupancy right now they probably are just cutting back a bit. Landscaping could use some work in gardens. Honestly, they are just running lean with the extra expense to get the property back to where it should be. Price is a bit reduced and staff was very friendly and again, rooms are clean. Also location is great and you can walk to beach and city center easily.

Vasta remontoitu huone oli täydellinen. Hotelli on todella sielukas ja tunnelmallinen. Kaikki on täällä niin hyvin kuin vain voi olla. Aamiainen on loistava ja aamupala alue rauhallinen ja viihtyisä. The grounds of the hotel are very large and the flora is very well maintained, but everything from the rooms to the pool needs total refurbishment and renovation, it feel old and out of date and feels like they doing nothing to improve it , I suspect they are waiting to make. Complete refurbishment, but while they wait the customer is left very disappointed and still paying a hi price

Das Hotel liegt perfekt am Stadtzentrum und am Strand Jedoch wird das Hotel zur Zeit maßgeblich erweitert und der Hauptpool wird komplett umgebaut. Dadurch deutliche Einschränkungen, bei einer Buchung sollte das bewusst sein.

’Grand’ is a devalued word in Hotel speak, but this Hotel really is in a laid back way. It sprawls around its exquuisite gardens with ITS generous verndhered walkways with an extravgnce which no Hotel accountant would sanction today. They hyve building works which encroach slightly but not much. A truly beautiful Placebolta to ne with a staff to match.

Breakfast was fabulous and fresh every morning - fresh omelettes amazing - staff always so super helpful and friendly - slight downside was the construction going on daily but the rest of the place definitely made up for it - we loved the gardens and the animal sculptures ❤️❤️
