"I've never encountered more thoughtful and friendly staff in my life. Even in a country known for hospitality, the staff here shine brighter than all the rest. The room was amazing too. Walk-in shower! Lots of things to see and places to eat in walking distance. And the station is barely a block away. Id say it's worth visiting Kyoto just to stay at this hotel. "
"Kenji was a very nice host and his "guest house English" speaking was wonderful!! It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. Kenji also gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area that you otherwise may not have known about. "
"Our stay at the GrandWest Arashiyama was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, reception was incredibly helpful, and the location was quiet and idyllic. During our stay we made the most of the amenities including free refreshments, a washing/drying machine, and a cute cafe situated just downstairs from the hotel entrance. Our stay here was easily one of the best parts of our trip to Japan and I highly encourage those visiting Arashiyama to consider this hotel!"
"Diese Unterkunft verfügt über 5 private Bäder, die man ungezwungen genießen kann. Ebenso verfügt es seperat über ein Herrenbad und ein Damenbad. Dieses ist ebenfalls nicht all zu stark besucht und es kam vor, dass wir oft alleine im großem Bad waren.
Ebenso gibt es einen Souvenirladen im Hotel, für ein paar Kleinigkeiten.
Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und ich kann dir negativen Behauptungen, dass Ausländer hier schlecht behandelt werden nicht bestätigen. Es war zu jederzeit sehr freundlich...
"This hotel is truly like stepping into another world. The service is impeccable, the room we had was gorgeous and superbly clean. We were lucky enough to have a private onsen with very clean water at the perfect temperature on a lovely little lanai.
All of the staff are very friendly and professional and the food is fantastic as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a touch of classic Japan in Kyoto!"
