"Cute property right across the street from the beach. Rooms were comfortable an clean and the staff was very accomdating. Breakfast options were great and tasty (additional meals for $5!) and brought to our door every morning. The only issues were that the hot water didn't work the first morning--quite the wake up! Also, the TV options weren't very good as the Direct TV(?) worked for like 20 mins then it disappeared and you had to rely on the limited smart TV channels. Internet was ok, but sometimes spotty, so be aware that you might have very limited cell coverage. Otherwise, a very nice stay."

"A wonderful, dog-friendly resort with responsive staff. The room was a bit dated, but comfortable. I was surprised there was not a refrigerator in the room as it appeared on the listing there would be one. Instead, I used their ice machine to keep my cooler filled/cold. From the restaurant I ordered a HUGE cheeseburger the first night and a delicious brussel sprouts salad the second. Chef's kiss to the creme brulee! I chose Cambria Pines for its dog readiness, location close to Hearst Castle and heated (wonderful) pool. I'm planning to return in November to visit Hearst Castle again and do holiday shopping in the cute shops in Cambria."

"I was hit by something on the freeway that caused a slashed tire and coolant leak. I called and gave a notice of late checkin and then let them know that the repair was still happening and could I move the stay one day, as I couldn’t get there (weekend repair in a small town). She said no, it was past the checkin time, despite previously telling me I could call back re: a check in beyond 11pm. Expedia called them to request they allow me to move the reservation by one day due to the circumstances, but they were told there were no rooms. Disappointed that I needed up without a trip to this hotel, and likely won’t book there again."

"Had a very nice day at pelican Inn. The room was large and clean. The staff was very helpful. They had pastries and fruit and hot coffee in the morning in the office. They also have a wine tasting room on site. It was really nice. I just walk across the street and walk on the beach. Great place to stay."
