"Mijn 2de keer dat ik heb een overnachting geboekt hier. Mooi schoon kamers. Geweldig pub met lokaal bieren. Geweldig eigenaar en medewerkers. Heel vriendelijke lokale mensen en 5 minuten lopen van het stad centrum. Engels ontbijt van de hoogste niveau voor 9 1/2 pond. Mooi beer garden en gratis parkeren voor gasten. Top top locatie en niet duur."

"This hotel is a hidden gem! The host, Maria, is truly wonderful. Her attention to detail is fab, and she couldn't be anymore helpful and welcoming. Maria stayed late for my colleagues check in and then came in early to accommodate us for an early breakfast. The dinner was divine - strongly recommend the tikka curry. Home cooked, beautiful meal. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I will ensure I book here when I visit Birmingham again!!!"

"Room was clean, staff were friendly, food was very good. I would have liked to have had a spa treatment, but none were available on the Saturday. Overall I think the hotel felt a little tired, but with some refurbishment and updating I think it could be an excellent hotel"

"The property is quirky and has a boutique feel in a very attractive building. However the room was not well maintained with a cracked pane of glass in the window, grubby corners, badly marked paintwork. Having booked the room online and seen it - I was not advised that the room was in the attic, and that there were 2 flights of stairs to access it. the second one being very steep and narrow. If I had been given this information I would not have booked this room. The parking was good and well...

"Upon arrival, we were informed the pool is faulty and can’t be accessed. The carpet on the hallways was extremely dirty. The room has very poor lighting. The bathroom had only a shower so it’s not convenient if you don’t want to wet your hair. There was dirty plates and rubbish left infront of most rooms for hours. Also, for breakfast, I would rate it 5/10. The buffet was stored in rusted heavy bowls and lids you will have to lift up. Also there was no hot chocolate just coffee and tea bags....

"Room was ok would been perfect except there was a function on and seemed all the arguments and fighting was out side our room so wouldn’t recommend sat night sat stay unless you attended if a function We was only staying until early hours for a flight out Birmingham so was expecting much for the bargain price and didn’t get much sleep we did ask for a fan for the room and was told they didn’t do fans This hotel/ sports bar would be a different experience if it was not a sat night but the club...

"I stayed here in 2025 and booked the same place because my 2025 experience was positive. The price is reasonable. My room was excellent (a double and a single bed for one person). There's plenty of food outlets nearby and it is only a short walk from the railway station. I'd definitely book again"
