Phenomenal, fantastic, exceptional!! Exceptionally clean room, wonderful staff, washer and dryer, air conditioner that blows cold and a balcony as an extra bonus!! The area is absolutely magnificent for the supermarkets and shopping!!! Great places to eat!!! This location is walking distance to the one of the oldest temples!!! if you’re looking for an ideal place that has great logistics to get all over Tokyo. Call this home!! There are several train lines and buses right around the corner.

Not nearly my best stay in Japan, although it was my most expensive. Check in was fine. The whole water bottle situation was very weird. At my other stays, the room was provided with at least 2 bottles of water from check in. This hotel refused to provide water on check in and on days that were “full cleaning” on the room. If you were getting an “eco cleaning” which was towels and garbage replaced we were provided bottled water. On full cleaning day they refused. It was very odd to have a system like that.
The beds were rock hard! We had trouble sleeping all nights. AC had to be set under 22 degrees for the room to be nicely chilled. Breakfast was served until 10am but after 9am there was barely anything left and was not replenished. This was a bad look on the hotel. Only positive was the location which was close to many train lines and close to Ameyoko market where there was plenty of food any shopping options. Unfortunately, we won’t be visiting this hotel or any of their properties.

This was an absolutely wonderful place in the heart of Ueno. Close to subway stations, restaurants, and shopping areas a short walk away. The hotel is lovely and the staff are so kind and welcoming. We were family of 5 with 3 kids and the room size was perfect - considering we also had quite a few bags. Can’t say enough about this place. If you are looking for a great hotel with great staff and wonderful service …. Stay here. Thanks Grand MONday we had a lovely time.
