"We absolutely loved our stay!! The room was beautiful, the onsens are incredible, the buffet breakfast was delicious and the service was fantastic! We stayed 2 nights, which I highly recommend to experience the hotel and Hakone properly. The only thing we didn’t love was the Kaiseki dinner - the food quality didn’t seem to be quite up to standard compared to everything else we ate at the hotel and seafood was already on the table when we arrived (it was even sitting out already for the next seating in 2 hours), which was a little off putting. "Very wonderful stay, staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast and supper buffet had lots of variety. The onsite onsen was perfect for unwinding and the foot spa was a picturesque place for taking in the view. It’s location is a five min walk to the ferry and gondola station. "

The unexpected : lI had to call housekeeping twice to change the ground sheet on one of the beds, first time because my daughter identified mould, the second time to change it because of holes. Why would a sheet with holes get missed ?
