Only challenge is an accurate understanding of meeting arrangements to gain initial entry: Staff was waiting inside, unbeknownst to us, whilewe were waiting outside ! Instructions should stress “ring doorbell on arrival”, and provide location, since it’s a little hard to find, especially in the dark. But otherwise a truly lovely choice in Bordeaux."

"This was an interesting place. it is not a typical hotel being a 'co-living' centre with several long stay options as well as short stays. It is to the north of the city centre but within easy reach of tram and bus. The room was clean, comfortable and while not luxurious had all that could be asked. There is no restaurant or bar but the Halle Bacalan is a 10 minute walk away with a range of food bars. Breakfast is self service and fine. The staff were friendly and helpful providing advice...

"We had an amazing stay, our room with the terrace was gorgeous, so light and fresh. We really enjoyed use of the hot tub. A great breakfast each morning with fresh and yummy ingredients. Parking a real bonus - very secure and large enough for our van. The location was perfect, very central to all the main sights. Would definitely recommend and stay here again"

"Staff was amazing throughout the stay and the room was impeccable. We loved the suite, the finishes, and the balcony. Bed was super comfy. Cocktail bar downstairs is underrated, not sure why it seemed empty because the bartender was a master and their gin selection was very impressive. Breakfast in the morning was also well worth it, the chef was very attentive and her food was delicious. We 100% plan to return and would highly recommend booking the suite for your stay. "

"J’ai séjourné à « la maison de Blanche » durant 3 nuits … et malheureusement il y a à revoir. L’insonorisation est catastrophique : entre le bruit et les vibrations du tram, et les bruits des autres habitants… les boules quies ( offertes et à disposition sur la table de nuit ) sont obligatoires. "Excellent hotel, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Madame B is an outstanding restaurant. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The bar staff is very cool. The room was clean and had plenty of room. The rain forest shower was the best. Hotel is well located, with many things in walking distance."

"As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again."
