"The hotel was clean and staff friendly. I thought it odd that for some of the amenities you had to ask for them at the desk, an iron for example. I assume the ironing board and coffee pot as well as there wasn't one in the room. We chose this particular hotel because listed that it had a pool. The pool was closed for our visit, so we were disappointed. The desk clerk said that it should have been listed as closed on the website, but it wasn't. "I had a wonderful stay! The room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable experience. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a whirlpool suite, and it made my visit even more enjoyable. The extra space and relaxing whirlpool were a fantastic bonus. "Property is historic which is cool, and the room nice with comfortable beds. However, the room was 80 degrees, and we had to mess with the air conditioner several times for it to remain on and work. Also, there was no soap to wash our hands at the bathroom sink - irritating issues after driving 13 hours."
