"The room was very nice, well maintained. A little cool in the morning as the heat did not work. The restaurant was terrible. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, it was as hard as a rock, I could not eat it. Breakfast was not much better. I broke a tooth eating the bacon."

"Nice staff, well equipped room. Some renovations going on in public area so bit of a building site. Good location, can be a bit of a trek from room to hotel exit."

"The hotel was perfectly located… close enough to walk or bike to downtown, but just far enough to be away from the crowds. The bus stop is only a 2-minute walk. The hot tubs , sauna, and cold plunge were great. But the real star here is the staff! Every one of them were extremely helpful and charming. Would definitely stay here again!"

"We stayed in the suite with two separate bedroom areas and a kitchen in between. It's older property and long overdue for renovation which doesn't bother me but might bother some. There are no blackout curtains and the curtains barely covered the window so it's very bright in the morning. The staff tried to be helpful but when my neighbors were repeatedly noisy starting at 10:45 p.m. it took a lot of prompting for the front desk to ask them to be quiet. For three nights in a row."

"Towels were not provided, which made it impossible to shower during my stay. A 4pm check-in is also not reasonable given the cost structure. This is not a nightly rate—you are effectively paying hourly. I checked in at 4pm as required and left at 5am, resulting in a 13-hour stay that did not reflect the price paid. In my view, the latest check-in should be 2pm, and basic amenities such as towels should be provided as a standard requirement anywhere in the world."

Unfortunately, our check-in was delayed by about 55 minutes, which was disappointing considering we were only staying for one night. The room itself was also noticeably dusty, including the patio area, which made it feel less clean than expected for the price point. "From the check in which was very smooth, my family had a lot of bags the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and stylish, rooms were comfortable, sleek and clean. Loved the patio! and the restaurant had great food. Would definitely come back!"

"The Grotto Pool was the biggest reason we booked here. It was really nice, although my spouse and I both thought the music in the grotto was annoying. Something relaxing instead of Top 40 hits would’ve been nicer. The rooms themselves were decent. Beds seemed a little shorter than I’m used to. Good toiletries and amenities. Building shows some age and wear but still a nice enough place to stay. Front desk was very kind, helpful, and welcoming. The staff was great."

"Very average for what you get but good value for staying so close to downtown Banff. The AC was very loud but worked quite well to cool the room. The bathroom sink had no counters so was a bit inconvenient to put toiletries. There was no closet, the room was basic. Overall not bad, would stay again since it’s much more affordable than other hotels nearby."
