"The staff, service and food were exceptional. The location was perfect for what we wanted out of a four night stay in Kyoto. But, it was the staff that made the experience memorable. Some of the key spots are just around the corner from the hotel. Given the crowds during the day, it was easy to see them early in the morning or after dinner when the crowds were much smaller. If you are looking for the perfect atmosphere from a traditional small Japanese Ryoken then look no further!"

"We had an amazing stay here in November 2025! We stayed for five nights. The room was small (especially with two large suitcases) but functional and very well kept. The bed was very comfortable. The rooftop bar is amazing with the views, and the saunas were so nice as well (especially the one with the view!)
