"The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay in Kyoto this fall. Walking distance to so many temples, gardens, steps from the Geisha district, shopping & restaurants. The pictures I saw on google maps of the street and immediate surroundings looked a little iffy, but it was just fine, and very quiet. Easy spot for taxi to pickup if needed transportation to kyoto station or somewhere further. Walkable to many kimono rental stores with next day drop-off return service. Perfect location for planning on visiting multiple sites and return here in-between for a quick rest. Did I forget the authentic ryokan style rooms with impeccable service? Recommended...
