"Advertised as air conditioned rooms but air-conditioning not functioning at all with a dangerous looking wire hanging from the ceiling. I left the hotel as the room was too hot to sleep in and I was told I would get a full refund if I applied through Expedia. I have done this and Expedia tell me the can’t get through to the hotel to approve the refund."

"On arrival, we checked in and started to unpack. We noticed that parts of the room were dusty. As we looked closer we noticed that our room was layered in dust that had obviously been there longer than a week nevermind a day. The headboards were covered and you could visibly see the colour difference on the carpet where the duty was lying. "Great spot for a short stay. Beautiful building. The rooms are fine, but could use a refresh, and more attention to detail in the cleaning."

"I stayed here a few months ago and I had hoped it had improved, however if anything it was worse. The bathrooms are something out the 1970s, the bath was marked with limescale and in the first room I was given the bath plug was almost impossible to get out and the bath was chipped. In that room the window was stuck open about 20cm and despite the efforts of a maintenance man it would not close. I asked for another room and despite being told that the hotel was full one was magically found. The...

"Great location right in the middle of Epsom race course, breakfast was nice and continually topped up. Only improvement to be made would be to add a swimming pool."

"Ok for the price. Staff ok but review was poor because of the work going on outside heavy drilling and cutting of an ac unit so couldn’t get any work done. Otherwise it was ok for one night."
