"The manor house and estate was spectacular. We were a little disappointed in that we booked to stay in this wonderful manor, but upon arrival we were told that our room was located in a small house on the property about 400yards from the manor house by the entrance gate. It was referred to at the "lodge" Reception staff were efficient, but not exactly friendly. The breakfast was exceptional."

"The main thing wrong with this hotel is the furniture. It’s drab and not in good condition, the table over the mini fridge was tapped up with brown tape, to hold it together. Can’t you just buy a cheap new one? The chair by the bed was badly stained and there was gum in the carpets. In the bathroom the bath was stained and had no plug and no plug in the sink either, so hard to shave. These all make the place feel really unwelcoming. There was also a pleasant smell about the place. When I arrived...

"The hotel is in Gatwicks Sth Terminal so is very convenient, minutes away from Nth Terminal by shuttle. The room was small (as wide as our bed was long The bathrpom was functional but we had trouble finding how to get Hot water. We did eventually manage, the shower was the room, so wet floor for other users. Overnight stay ok but nowhere to unpack anything so longer stays would be difficult. Again as 80 somethings we would not use it again. Youngsters would be fine. Not sure how a family would...

"This was a delightful hotel. The staff were beyond lovely and helpful, and the room was super comfortable. The personal touches in the room - a hand written note, check-in treats - were really wholesome touches that made the stay even more welcoming. "

"Perfect for overnight stay with an early flight from Gatwick. Only negative point is that breakfast does not start until 6am. When guests are catching early flights that is no use at all."

Also I booked a table at the restaurant months ago for 5pm (I have a little one who normally eats at 4.30pm) to be told the restaurant doesn't even open until 5.30pm and they didn't have my booking. But we did get a table at 5.30. The food was poor, as was the service. The actual hotel room was fine. I thought the bathroom was grubby but it was actually just ring marks and staining in the bathroom. The pillows were way too soft and pushed down flat...
