"No staff, which is fine with me. Easy entry, spacious, clean, excellent location. Apartment basically with good view of the Christmas market. One note on the Attic Flat, have light luggage and be pretty fit. No lift and impressive staircase to get in. Was excellent."

"Eden Locke is an amazing place to stay in Edinburgh. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Locke Studio and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a washer and dryer, plates, fridge, it was like a mini apartment! "Actually, we were not able to stay. I did climb the 30 steps to get to the apartment, and it was a very nice place. 40 years ago, it would have been suitable for my wife and I. It would be better suited to younger travelers since all bags have to be carried up the steps. However, I cannot fault the owners because I did not pay close enough attention to the description"

Blinds made the bedrooms so dark - while hearing the rain outside … loved that! Only negatives were: The master bed was quite small for two tall people.
