"Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das außergewöhnlich freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Bei unserer Ankunft war die Schlafcouch noch nicht vorbereitet, doch obwohl an diesem Abend viel los war, wurde sich sofort und völlig unkompliziert darum gekümmert – ein toller Service! "We had the most wonderful stay at hotel Grimsborgir! The rooms were spotless and very roomy. The hot-tub was also a great addition and lovely to be able to use it in the evening after a busy day of exploring. The staff were extremely friendly and the food (both the included breakfast and paid dinner) was amazing with lots of options. The location was excellent in a nice quiet part of Selfoss. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights from our room!!"

"Wonderful cottage with all the kitchen items you need - toaster, oven, stove, coffee maker, kettle, fridge. Comfortable beds and linens, very quiet - out in the country, 20 minute drive to town (Selfoss) for groceries, restaurants, etc. The 2 family dogs are lovely. Communication was good, and no issues at check-in. Not far away from the Golden Circle route. Would highly recommend."

"Glamping experience with nice amenities all around and a really unique lounge area in the barn. The main area is a large building and has multiple bathrooms and showers. The facilities and kitchen were a little tight for the amount of people when full, but ultimately worked out fine. The big surprise was the barn lounge area. I definitely recommend spending some time in what is a really cool and unique underground area. Overall, was a comfortable and fun stay."

"We loved this hotel. Lovely staff, and great facilities. Breakfast was great, and hot drinks and juice available all the time. The two hot tubs would have been a great place to watch the northern lights from had it not been cloudy! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

"Wow!! Such an amazing place to stay. It was only about 10/15 minutes drive outside of Selfoss. The area is very quiet and cute and the hotel is right up against the beach. The room itself was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. We slept great because it was so quiet and dark. We were able to see the Northern Lights right outside our room! It was easy to speak to someone in the reception desk and we were overall very impressed. 10/10 would stay here again in a heartbeat! "

"Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich wunderbar – es sind keinerlei Wünsche offengeblieben. (es war schon der zweite). Die Wohnung ist hervorragend ausgestattet, liegt in einer schönen, ruhigen Umgebung und der Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus war für uns besonders praktisch. Auch die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war ausgezeichnet – stets freundlich, aufmerksam und angenehm. Besonders begeistert waren wir außerdem von der Sauna, dem Dampfbad und dem Hot-Tub, die unseren Aufenthalt noch entspannender...
