I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Katla. The rooms were nice and clean, the property was in a beautiful location, and it served as a perfect base for touring southern Iceland. The breakfast was included and offered different options that were all delicious. The staff were friendly as well. The hot tub was nice, however it did get a little crowded at times. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Katla and would stay there again.

Great property located just outside of town. The breakfast was amazing! The only draw back was that there was a large high school group on a trip that took over the hot tub and sauna during both nights of our stay making it a less than desirable way to spend our anniversary; yet not the fault of the hotel or staff. Overall we wilould absolutely stay here again.

Incredible stay at Hotel Katla! Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Location is very easy to find, and perfect for a driving holiday. We got to see the Northern Lights too! Breakfast buffet was fantastic - loads of options and dietary information was very clear which made our experience much better. Really enjoyed the hot tub & sauna too. It was a shared ammenity, but was never too busy.

His location reminds me of a launch you would find in the mountain and or ski resort. The staff was a bit cold and a little bit arrogant. Maybe they need a little more training with regards to personable attitude. The room itself was cute and cozy. The bedding was good. They don't have the best blackout curtains. Parking is convenient to each of the room buildings. There's a complex of about 9 buildings where the rooms are located. The sauna and hot tub are a little bit scary and in disrepair. They have this tiny gem. That again looks a little dodgy But they have breakfast. Buffet is complementary, and it's spectacular. Everything and in that dining hall was top notch.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The front desk and breakfast staff were kind and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious with many different options.
