"Incredibly warm and informative welcome, Andy ensured we had everything we needed, dinner was amazing, freshly cooked, very tasty and excellent choice for vegetarians Room was beautifully decorated with a super comfy bed and enormous fluffy towels Breakfast was preordered which meant it was freshly cooked when we needed it and totally set us up for the day Both Andy and Wendy are incredibly hard working and dedicated ensuring that the needs and comfort of customers come first and are always of a high standard"

"What a lovely gem of a place. Situated in the heart of the north Yorkshire Moors. Amazing views over the valley. Staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. The only criticism I could make was that the floorboards were creaky, but that’s because the property is 300 years old and has real character. Highly recommended."

"What’s not to love? This place is an absolute gem. The rooms are immaculate, each with its own unique character, and it was so peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. The staff in the pub couldn’t do enough for us, proper old-fashioned customer service at its best. Everyone we spoke to was genuinely friendly, welcoming and happy to help. The food was exceptional. We had both an evening meal and the included breakfast, and everything was freshly cooked to order and absolutely delicious. The desserts are worth saving room for too! With stunning walks nearby, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing break. We’ll definitely be back."

"I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was very quiet and peaceful and enjoyed sitting outside at the rear. There's no problem parking. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only criticism I have is, about the shower room. It needs something to put your toiletries on. There is a small glass shelf above the wash basin, but that is taken up by the complimentary toiletries and 2 glasses. Even without them it's only a small shelf. I had to put my toilet bag on the floor. The breakfast was enjoyable. Not a large buffet, but it was sufficient. The full breakfast was very nice. I would stay again."
