"What a cozy and well-located room in Placencia. Our cabana was right on the beach. The busy and fun bar next door had music playing till midnight, but for us, that was great -- just made it more like beach living. The rooms are in great condition and the staff is wonderful. Santiago keeps the beach and room area in perfect shape and is very attentive. We felt at home, and we could walk the Placencia sidewalk for coffee, breakfast, and night life at all times. "Very fresh and clean rooms, updated modern decor. Fresh paint, clean! Super friendly staff and very helpful with recommendations. Nice dock for guests to use, great location to walk around. Did not know they had breakfast available, didn’t see any signs or indications of that. Very happy otherwise."

"We loved our stay at umaya. The beach is awesome. The whole pool area/chairs/dock and set up are awesome too. So great that you can also borrow Kayaks and paddle boards (which we did) to have morning paddles when the ocean is calmer. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff helpful and accommodating and the food at the hotel was good as well. There are also many restaurants and a supermarket (10 min drive) close to umaya without having to always make the drive...

"You can’t go wrong with Ramon’s.
The staff was super friendly.
I would especially like to spot light the dive shop and guides.
Being inexperienced divers they went out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable and safe.
It also doesn’t hurt that the dive boat was 30 steps from our room."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Elysian Hotel in Placencia and can’t say enough about how warm and welcoming the staff were. Traveling with young kids can be challenging, but the team here went out of their way to make everything easy and comfortable for our family. From thoughtful help day-to-day to genuine kindness toward our children, it truly made a difference in our trip.
