"I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Tangara Arenal. I booked the bungalow option, and it was a great choice. The bungalow was surrounded by plants and trees, with outdoor seating perfect for relaxing or reading while it rained—and when it rains, it pours! The metal roof made the sound of the rain noticeable, but I found it soothing, like white noise. We visited during the wet season and had the usual afternoon showers, but it never bothered us. "Everything i say about this hotel is not enough. The nature, scenery, animals (birds, frogs, other creatures like coati...) it's a paradise. Extremely friendly staff , they learn their guests name and call them greet them warmly by their names. Restaurant food is great snd toothsome, the housekeeping is excellent. Everyday they model the towels in different shapes, like cats, elephants,..!! Staying at this hotel is going to be one of the most memorable stays for you. The location is also close...

"Nossa casinha azul era uma graça, sempre limpa, confortável, com bastante espaço. Café da manhã com comida típica local, mas com opção de pedir pão, panquequinhas, ovos mexidos, iogurte e frutas (abacaxi e melancia). Café para beber a vontade. "This hotel was an absolute delight. Most of the rooms are private bungalows tucked into the jungle. The view with the jacuzzi tub was much welcomed after a day of hiking. There was also so much wildlife and we saw monkeys, lizards, fireflies and too many birds to count. While I did not enjoy the breakfast I did enjoy the crapes and coffee later in the evening that were available for purchase. We didn't mind walking into town, but it is a 45 minute trek.
