This is a beautiful resort property and our room was spacious, modern and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the balcony and waking up to the sound of birds and the nearby river. The restaurant is excellent for dinner as well as breakfast. It’s a bit out from the center of town but an easy taxi away.

It’s a great place. We had fun times. Breakfast is awesome. The room are spacious. It has all individual type room so it makes it more cozy. There is a huge shower and separate bathroom so the family can speed up. It also had a king large bed. The place itself had a good out of trees and at the night they had a good lighting. It makes made it very special. We also did a spa and had a great time.

Staff was courteous and attentive. The grounds are beautiful and the entire complex is gated so you are totally safe. The amenities are well maintained. My kids loved the availability of the soccer pitch, basketball court and gym. We even played a round of tennis. The room(cabin) was clean and comfy. The private jacuzzi on our private deck surrounded by rainforest was a great feature. The layout provided plenty of privacy. The restaurant staff were great and the food was delicious, even for my picky teenagers. The location is just outside of down town so you are just a few minutes by taxi and plenty of options for adventures that pick you up at the hotel. Definitely would recommend!

Free breakfast has limited choices, but still good food. The service on our last day there wasn’t the greatest, not sure why. The rooms are clean but had very lukewarm showers-when it’s raining so much a warm shower is appreciated. The hot tub was lukewarm and we would be chilled sitting in it. Again, when it’s raining an it’s nice to sit in a hot tub. Otherwise, clean, great location, nice views at the restaurant. The service started good at the restaurant and then went down hill.

We had a few issues with the room but each time they were immediately addressed and fixed by staff. The staff members are top notch!!!! Wilbert was a fantastic server and we looked forward to seeing him every day!!!

Eveything about the property is great. We truly felt confortable but yet immersed in nature. Loved the free breakfast each morning and the property has multiple pools to enjoy. Great stay!

The perspective of Vulcan Arenal was perfect from this perfectly situated property. Great food ranging from Costa Rican to international, available throughout the day. I preferred their salt water pool to staying at a different resort which featured thermal pools- then we chose to drive back to eat here once more- so good. Just know in advance that you may not drive to your room; must take a jitney.

Casa Del Rio was a very unique and amazing hotel. We almost felt like we were the only guests staying there because the service was so superb. I have already told many people about our stay here and will be sure to tell others. It was amazing!! I highly recommend!

The resort is beautiful, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are so many things to do on the property, and it’s conveniently close to many activities, including the La Fortuna Waterfall. An amazing place to stay and relax, very safe and welcoming.

Amazing staff and beautiful location. The setup of the rooms provides a lot of privacy and beautiful views of rain forest vegetation, animals (butterflies, lizard, hummingbird), volcano and river. Peaceful and relaxing.
