I wanted to start by saying that the service was excellent even from before we reached the hotel. The communication with them was pretty fast. "We loved this spot! It was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. It didn't feel like a hotel in the best way - it felt more like you were staying at someone's private residence. Beautiful gardens, great pool and hot tub. And we loved the resident cats who would frequently come to visit. Staff were very attentive and replied quickly via WhatsApp if anything was ever required. "We really liked the stay here. It had a great view and location right in town. The restaurant on site was very convenient with included breakfast each morning. They even arranged an early breakfast for us one morning as we had a tour leaving earlier than the opening time. Food was average, didn't wow me but did the job. We stayed in cabin 3 and it had a sewage smell from the minute we walked in that never left. We didn't experience this at our other lodgings in Monteverde or Manuel Antonio, so...

"The location is really good and very near to the adventures and conveniently located near the downtown. Most of the tours have a pick up in this area and hence we do not have to travel far for pick-ups. The hotel had a homely comfort and family friendly as well. Depending on the weather, you can view the Arenal volcano from the pool. The staff is very friendly and even helped with first-aid. However I feel they are short-staffed and it would help if someone helps with the reception for long...
