"5 weeks in Thailand in various islands and this was by far my favourite resort in terms of room comfort, beach and swimming, tons of beach chairs and a wonderful pool - we loved how close everything was at the resort to access. The onsite restaurant and coffee/dessert cafe was excellent with great choices. walking to the main road to access other restaurants took only about 5 minutes + a 7/11 was just up the main road as well. Nice restaurant (we only really ate one restaurant few minutes from the hotel on the beach called somewhere else was yummy, very affordable and also great view of the beach). We’d definitely stay at Lanta Sand again. "

"We had a fantastic stay and Twin Bay. The hotel was so relaxing and staff were very friendly. The access to the beach is so easy and the water so warm. It wasn't deep as there were sandbanks but you could swim out. We ate at the on site restaurant which was good food and wasn't expensive. Would definitely stay here again and was sad to leave"

However, there are really quite a few hotels along the beach which also seem very nice (we didn't stay in any though so am only guessing) - but I was quite disturbed by being right next to the main road. It is really right there and not with some space behind so the noises, especially during breakfast, is really very loud. Seeing as the rate is not that low for not being beachfront, I might go with a more simple room but better located...
