"We had an excellent stay at Porto Vecchio. The hotel itself is situated right in the old town about 2 streets back from the sea, in a pretty little corner on a lovely back street. As the old town is pedestrianised, we were dropped at the top of the main street by our taxi from the airport, 25 mins away, and had a short 5 min walk to the property. The reception is not manned at all times but someone was always at the end of the phone should you need any help and I believe, not far away either....

"Situated in a quiet corner of Chania but close to everything the old town and harbour have to offer, La Maison Ottomane is an old renovated building with three unique rooms. All beautifully furnished with antique pieces in keeping with the building and decoration. But the really stand out thing is Andreas the owner and Alexandra the housekeeper. "Excellent experience overall- comfortable bed, great location on the pier, tons of shopping and food nearby. Only hiccup was we didn't realize that we can't drive up to the hotel to drop off our belongings (you have to park in the public lot or a private lot about 100-300 meters away). It's a short, pleasant walk but the first night when finding our way the GPS kept took us in circles trying to find the hotel so that was a little tiring. "

"Judy, the host, was so wonderful and hospitable. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It is in a prime location. Very walkable. There are grocery stores, pharmacies, and shops within walking distance. "

There were absolutely no problems with the self-service check-in, and the room was absolutely lovely, with some quaint features and a welcome drink and sweets. "The host Malvina was wonderful! The room was beautifully curated and it included a large battle of water, Bosch espresso maker with pods, ironing board/iron, mini fridge and access to a patio. I would definitely stay here again. "

"Amazing location, looking over the lighthouse and harbour. The owner is fantastic and very helpful. Parking in the area can be tricky; Talos square is often full so you need to park on the street. Breakfast is absolutely delicious and filling. I highly recommend."
