Alcanea Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem in Chania! Eva was exceptional, checking in on us when our flight was delayed, providing us with detailed recommendations of restaurants and beaches then following up with us on our return. The location was incredible and the interior and exterior of the 500 year old building provided for such a unique experience. Despite it being an older historical building the rooms were updated with great amenities. I’d recommend this to anyone, the best place we stayed on our Europe travels!

Quaint and lovely!

This amazing quaint hotel on the waterfront was just what we needed! A welcome surprise for first-time visitors to Chania. It had a lovely historic feel with alcoves, patios, windows, and beautiful views. The breakfast was delicious and the room was tidy and spacious and quiet. Decorations were reminiscent of an old villa. And the staff were so attentive and lovely! Highly recommend!

Probably the best hotel in Chania. The location is perfect, and the atmosphere is beautifully designed with great attention to detail. We were impressed from the very beginning. Amazing location, looking over the lighthouse and harbour. The owner is fantastic and very helpful. Parking in the area can be tricky; Talos square is often full so you need to park on the street. Breakfast is absolutely delicious and filling. I highly recommend.

This was one of the coolest hotels we have stayed in. It is a 500 year old castle. The rooms are huge, with very comfortable beds and the best rain shower. The staff are so friendly and accommodating to all your needs. They also give you a traditional Greek breakfast in the morning. The location was perfect with fun shops, restaurants and the beach. Beautiful 16th century villa overlooking the port!

Loved the hotel! Excellent location on the quiet end of the Ventian port. Beautiful view over the bay. Feels like staying in a small castle, beautiful decor with modern twist. Staff so friendly, offers many of their personal favorites for restaurants and bars. Breakfast is fabulous! Best eggs I have ever had (Chef said the secret is in the fresh olive lol…), 5 stars and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you
