"Perfect location! Less than 10 min walk to the Cardiff Central Railway Stsation a just crossing the street and you’re in the City Center shopping Center , loads of coffee shops , restaurants and less than 10min walk to the Castle. Being in Center , easy access to pick up points for day trips j. Clean , relatively new building, comfortable bed and pillows , huge room and the price not bad for such location"

"Superb staff, a wonderful welcome. Room was spacious and bed super comfy. A historic building so decor and some of the fixtures in need of updating, but tbh that’s what gives The Angel its charm. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend."

"Bed was uncomfortable, mattress needs replacing. Reception told us they'd been replaced in some rooms not others. Shower was cramped and too low so I had to stoop. "

"Rooms are a bit run down, location is great for being so close to Cardiff bay. Staff are lovely and friendly and the bar is cosy. Breakfast was decent."

"Basic, but get what you pay for. Lovely staff, really helpful. Breakfast is ok. Aircon broke in first room, moved into another and it worked but incredibly noisy so couldn’t use it. Windows don’t open. "

"The room was clean. The air conditioner didn’t work, and being on the 10th floor, it would get a bit warm during the day. The windows didn’t open, so no fresh air. As I was leaving to checkout, the door handle came off. The doors had smart locks and you had to help the door close in order for the lock to engage."
