The area around there is perfect in the sense that it is quiet, but there’s outstanding dining and you could walk to the older part of town. The staff was amazing and the hotel restaurants not only convenient but great alternative to pub food & great way to end a long day of sightseeing. Questions prior to staying were answered promptly and clearly by the staff. They were very friendly and attentive when it came to questions about the local area and transport. "It's a central location in old town: 5 minutes from Castle and 2 minutes to Royal mile. Victoria street is next over so it gets a 5 star for location. That comes with its own downside, loud noise from bars was audible well into the night even with the windows closed. The apartment is very clean and spacious. Living room and kitchen are downstairs and king bed and sofa bed are upstairs. We were 2 adults and a kid and were comfortable. The only problem was the thermostat which had its own mind....
