"First time staying at hotel. First impressions good in general. Only complaint is the stairlifts. Trying to get my disabled partner to breakfast in the upstairs restaurant was virtually impossible. One stairlift had been left at top of stairs with no way to bring it down and other stairlift was out of order. Why can't the breakfast be served in the ground floor restaurant? Especially as its near the only elevator in the building?"

Room smelt odd, windows were open but it didn't smell pleasant at all.No coffee pod machine especially for a higher end priced room. Cows milk, non-dairy options? Sink & shower screen had black build and limescale, see photos, requires cleaning, unhygienic & under bath tap, dirty toilet brush holder base.Jo in the Spa was excellent, very well presented very welcoming, very friendly & helpful, professional & a credit.Rebecca front of house, excellent, very smartly dressed, professional, extremely polite & courteous. Great service, another gem.Hannah at breakfast was lovely, super coffee, very polite, friendly, efficient & professional.Very well presented & friendly.Luis on the bar, lovely guy, a very gifted barman, extremely polite & attentive, a credit.Helen & Collettee @ breakfast, very loudly spoken, very noisy clearing tables. Unenjoyable while trying to relax first thing in the morning.Uniforms looked unkempt & ill fitted. Room service v good"

"Room was tired and need refresh, cracked decor. Beds were clean. Light pollution from garden into room, lack of decent curtains. No breakfast during weekdays, did not bother with weekend. Noisy environment from pub and landlord’s flat next to room. Would not recommend."

"We were welcomed by friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spacious, clean & very comfortable. We enjoyed use of the fishing lakes and a delicious cooked breakfast each morning. The location was also great for a wedding at Peckforton Castle. Highly recommend and great value for money! "
