"The lodge may not look luxurious but the staff make sure you feel like it is. Insuring all your needs are met. The staff were amazing, first class! All meals were a beautiful presentation and they got to know you and then catered to your tastes. He mad my husband a fresh picante sauce. We loved the location. "This place is a birder’s paradise. They have every tropical habitat you could want on the back trails, and proper guides to spot the birds. The rooms are very good, the front desk staff was charming. The views are spectacular. The feeders are jammed with birds. Only negative was that we were almost totally rained off for 24 hours, but that’s what can happen in a rainforest. I already want to return. "

"Rooms are old and bathrooms doesn’t flush properly. There are no other attractions around and have to go to la fortuna for any activity which is an hour drive. The resort is good with thermal spas and pools ."

"Pros: Good AC, hot water, clean, the grounds are beautiful, hot tubs are awesome, hiking trail in property, good breakfast, kind staff. Cons: We paid for a "mountain view" room but did not have a view of anything. Wifi is basically nonexistent and there is barely any cell reception. No interet is a big problem and should be corrected."
