"Food was exceptional especially for breakfast, choices at the buffet was hard to beat and I’ve been all over the world. The lounge also was also fantastic as well, a must have upgrade if you’re staying at a Sofitel. This particular property, though nice is in need of facelift especially in the rooms and hallways. The staff was indeed helpful but it puzzles me why they wouldn’t emphasize languages for better communication it being a hotel that caters to foreigners. Jason the night manager was extremely helpful on my first night in as well."

"Absolutely loved my stay at Xana Hotel! The central location is unbeatable—right in downtown Guangzhou, close to the train station, and surrounded by amazing local food options. As a business traveler with family, I truly appreciated the warm and friendly front desk staff who made check-in incredibly fast and smooth. The room was spotless, comfortable, and the thoughtful service throughout my stay really stood out. Everything was just perfect. I already look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Guangzhou. Highly recommended!"

"Firstly I didn’t realise there were no windows in the room (my mistake) tried to move but the staff very unhelpful, hotel is very dirty our room stank of cigarettes so the cleaners came up and sprayed air freshener I would rate this hotel as a poor two star at best. It is quite far out from the centre of the city (about 30 ish mins on the metro) and nothing to do in the local area. It reminded me of a seedy hookers hotel."
