"This Guest House was a great surprise! The rooms are very big and clean and the wide marble bathroom is wonderful! WiFi, big flatscreen TV, sofa, fridge, water cooker and mineral water is in the room. "I think it's important to know this is someone's house with a few hotel rooms upstairs. There are some less-than-ideal aspects. The place is very echoey, so if the owners are entertaining downstairs you will hear it in your room. The lighting is very harsh, bright white, which is a big no for me personally. And the bathroom/shower has frosted glass walls that lead on to the hallway. No one can really see you but it doesn't feel that comfortable. Just some strange design choices. The owner couple...
"The property is very eclectic. Well decorated and a lot of seating outside on the patio. Breakfast was very good. Margaret was very friendly and always smiling. Bed was very comfortable. She was very accommodating, letting us stay there with our luggage since we had a late flight. Highly recommend it! "

"The apartment's location is excellent, just a short walk from the Rosebank mall. However, several issues during our stay left a sour taste.
Upon arrival, we noticed a musty smell in the sofa or throw rug, despite spraying with Lysol. Additionally, the walls and ceiling showed signs of cracks. Maintenance issues were also a concern, with three non-functional outlets and a leaking washer/dryer. While the host was responsive, a pre-check inspection would have revealed these problems.
I could not sleep the very last night due to heavy winds rattling doors and windows. I knew it was the winds but all night it sounded like someone was breaking in.
Despite these issues, the apartment has potential. With a few repairs and improvements, it could be a great option. However, based on our experience, I would recommend future guests to carefully inspect the property before booking and be prepared for potential maintenance issues.
