"Cockroaches in the room, shower is broken. Impossible to swim in the ocean as its one big parking for boats and water full of oil/diesel. Swimming pools are good, but Kids park is very old and rusty"

"First I would like to stay that the staff was wonderful! This was my second time at this resort but my first time was better. The resort is adding a new section so I feel like the company has cut corners because of this. The food was much better the first time we were there and at that time our favorite place was the steakhouse. This time the steakhouse was absolutely terrible! I would not recommend going there. Overall the food was okay keep in mind everyone has different palettes. But I will say the resort does need to work on getting a nice chef or chefs to overhaul their food especially in the buffet. Coming to the Dominican Republic I would expect to have some authentic Dominican food at least one night a week however that was not an option the entire time we stayed there. They're also insect issues that they need to get better control of. Unless those issues are fixed it'll probably won't be returning to that resort again but again it's not the workers fault we enjoyed them our entire stay. I will say to read some of the reviews that are not high scores as there are some truth to them too some of them."

"I genuinely enjoyed my time at the Faranda 1 hotel. My hotel room was very clean as well as the property in general. The on-site restaurant and bar was a plus as well. The restaurant staff and bartender were consistently friendly and professional. Even though I don't speak Spanish, the staff members did their best to communicate with me and provide great service. The pool was the perfect temperature and I appreciated the variety of seating options around it. The hotel was adult-only, which was a plus and I didn't experience any rowdiness or noise from other guests. My only complaint would have to be about access to the off-site beach club. I did ask about access a few times and was supposed to receive a pass of some sort, but didn't hear back about it. Other than that, I really enjoyed my time here and would recommend it to anyone else coming to Punta Cana."

"This was our first time experiencing an all inclusive resort so I don’t have anything to compare to. Check in was awful, rude employees would tell us to step up then walk away and wouldn’t help us. Took over 30 min for someone to finally help. They weren’t very clear on policies and instructions, especially for newbies. Food was ok, just edible enough so we weren’t hungry. Anytime we grabbed corn on the cob, it wasn’t cooked all the way and was very hard. Boat rentals were awesome! Water aerobics and zoomba were great and the staff was entertaining! I wish we got a rundown of the map better. We would have loved to rent a cabana on the adults only area but didn’t know it was there until the second to last day and they were all booked. If you want to watch any tv, bring a fire stick or something because we got maybe 2 English channels and we asked for help but no one came. Carlos was a great service to us though! From other frequent all inclusive resort go-ers, they said this was the best one they’ve been too!"

"The language barrier made communication very difficult. We have a child with a severe allergy and getting clarification on the menu was near impossible. No hot water in our room the entire trip , room had horribly musty smell. The food was not very good. The staff communicates using “ what’s app” However never responds. The front of the resort was in a very unsafe area. Will not return. The air conditioning in the “ gym” was broke the entire week and the temperature was 94 degrees. Very run down. Could be great. Coffee shop was good. The staff was friendly for the most part. "
