The location was very convenient, there was the metro station where you essentially could get to places easy from Plaça Cataluyna. The 24hr concierge was definitely a plus considering our flight to Barcelona arrived late and we were check-in as well as being able to leave our luggages after checkout. The rooms were okay considering the amount of days we were gonna be there for. It was kinda loud outside the doors from the room and wifi was kinda bad but otehrwise staff was really nice and polite.

The Hotel Monegal is in a great location for seeing the sites of Barcelona. There is a Metro station (Catalunya) right by the hotel, making it easy to get to other areas of the city. It is located on La Rambla within walking distance of the Cathedral and old town. The staff were so friendly and very helpful, they had good knowledge of the area and good recommendations for where to eat. The room was basic but comfortable, there were a few loose and cracked floor tiles in the bathroom but other than that it was fine. The beds were comfortable. The room was very clean and they replaced the towels everyday. The price was affordable and I would highly recommend staying here. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Monegal again.
