Fried insects and Thai dessert stalls also populate the streets here. The best places for a drink are the cafés along Khao San Road.

Market-style shopping is available throughout Banglamphu. The shops and stalls along Khao San and adjacent roads are the most popular shopping spots in the area. Tourists can find a huge range of items here, handicrafts, clothes and accessories.
