A beautiful hotel with very welcoming and friendly staff and a lovely wellbeing/spa area with outdoor pool, sauna and steam room. The only downside was other guests breaking the hotel rules regarding phone use and photography within the spa area, this was very invasive and uncomfortable and we would have preferred these rules being enforced by the hotel.

Amazing Jr Suite well appointed, spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet for sleeping. The Van der Valk Amsterdam Amstel is 5 minutes walk to the Metro fantastic for touring around Amsterdam. The hotel itself is English speaking, beautifully decorated with a first floor bar and restaurant both upscale. The first floor hosts the daily breakfast which is nothing short of 5 star. Wellness Tropen is included with Steam room, Saunas, showers and heated outdoor pool not to mention the lovely lounging areas. Definitely 5*.
