"Lovely, well maintained hotel, pool and gardens . The staff committed , knowledgeable and friendly. Dinners in the History restaurant were without exception delicious, especially the First Class Railway Mutton Curry which was outstanding. These were preceded by a visit to the bar, over which knowledgeable barmen preside. All in all, a wonderful stay and the next door ferry was never a problem for us, indeed we think we will miss the throbbing motor which we found quite comforting. "

"What a wonderful place, very beautiful and relaxing. Accommodation absolutely top notch, staff even better. Having stayed in several highly rated 5 star hotels during our month long tour of India we felt this to be the best. "We were very impressed with our 4 days at The Zuri Kumarakom. We were surprised to be told that the property is about 25 years old, because it's superb maintenance suggested a much younger age to us. As we rode into the property, we were a bit shocked to see a lot of policemen around. And that turned into panic when they accosted our taxi cab at the hotel porch. "Grounds are beautiful and plenty of area to walk. Occasionally power outages would reset the air conditioning system and I needed to put in the temperature again which was inconvenient during the night. The outage would also blow the fuse so the lights would not turn on. The staff was quick to fix the issue.Service was excellent."

"I booked the hotel not expecting the focus on Ayurveda treatment to be so strong. Once I realized that this was a top Ayurveda facility, I adjusted my expectations. I consulted and got a free massage. The massage was truly transformative. The hotel staff is wonderful! The food is great! The other guests were very friendly. There is a sense of community among the guests that's fostered by the hotel. I recommend!"
