"Room was very warm. Had to use provided desk fan to keep temp at tolerable level. Couldn’t leave the window open overnight due to street noise from the clubs and bars near by. However staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and hotel gym great. Great central location but the penalty is the noise. "

"As for the hotel and location it’s great spot ! For sleeping to hot , Train noise and pillows lumpy not nice at all . One receptionist a bad attitude on arrival it was 2pm with the word WHAT . I said we would like to book in answer ! NOT TILL 3PM . Shoot me down ! "

"Had a fantastic weekend at the Ramside whilst visiting friends in the area. Room was lovely. Clean, comfortable and the bathroom was stunning. Lovely view across the green to the treehouses. Very quiet we will definitely be back "

It is worth noting this was my first trip away in a long time and was my first time staying in Newcastle and I suffer from anxiety/paranoia and overthinking, having said that I'm new to staying in hotels overall. "Great service and hotel was well equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Good location for the metro centre and easy to get to A1 and surrounding areas. Leisure facilities are good- swimming pool and sauna/steam and gym. Sunday was overrun with kids jumping in and couldn’t swim at all. As a parent I’m ok with children using the facilities and having fun, it just should be manned a little better. "This was a great place to spend our last night of travel.Train was accessible to go back into Newcastle for one last evening at the pub with family. We were a one minute walk to airport and rooms were comfortable. We had asked for early check in which wasn’t ready but one room was ready and we stowed all luggage in that room . Good food and drinks!"

"Perfect location. From our room we were lucky enough to have an amazing view of the Tyne Bridge. Presenter drinks on the outdoor terrace were lovely and a swim in the pool was a great start and end to a busy day sightseeing. Would highly recommend! "
