The room was clean. Good gym and sauna facilities. I stayed in a club room. The access to the room involved walking through the restaurant / bar area. In rush hours it's challenging to walk through narrow spaces between chairs and tables with luggage. Probably making a different access way to the rooms would be a good idea. I am happy with the helping attitude of the staff. A great place to stay

Had a brilliant time went on a Sunday night unfortunately the restaurant was a bit of a let down with a very poor menu and very expensive. We had to drive into Tynemouth to get food. The breakfast was brilliant and the room was fantastic.

Very loud floorboards...

Great stay as always. Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Only issue was the room above us were up at 5am on a Sunday and squeaky floorboards made it sound like a heard of elephants was having party. Will be requesting a top floor room next time!!

Not good if you want a nights sleep

Amazing service, staff, food. It was clean and the pool was lovely…….however we couldn’t sleep as if you have a room at the front you either have to roast and close the windows or open the windows and get treated to parties singing, chanting and shouting until the early hours.

Weekend break

Relaxing weekend away using village hotel as a base to explore area well impressed. The only gripe is the price of your wine !! £25 for a bottle of Rose and that’s the cheapest that’s more expensive than London.
