Pocket Guide: 3 Stars Hotels in Pattaya
There are an overwhelming number of three-star hotels in Pattaya and they are all very affordable. Even if you are travelling on a budget you will find that these hotels will be within your price range and will be well worth the money.
More than half of the hotels in this busy beach resort are three-star hotels, with less than 10 being brand hotels, and the rest independently owned. Of these 401 hotels, the majority are in Pattaya proper (North, Central or South Pattaya), with others located in the surrounding area. There are also quite a lot of three-star hotels in Jomtien and the Pratumnak Hill / Thepprasit neighbourhood.
The majority of these hotels (300 to be exact) have swimming pools, with even more of Pattaya’s three-star hotels offering free Wi-Fi. Other amenities at some of these hotels include business centres, spas, fitness facilities and car parks. They are all modern hotels; some have traditional Thai décor, while others are completely contemporary, like the Ibis Pattaya, Red Planet Pattaya and OZO Pattaya.
One feature that all rooms in three-star hotels in Pattaya have in common is that they have individually controlled air-conditioning. Rooms are also quite spacious, making them great value for money. Three-star hotels in Pattaya also vary in the clientele they focus on, with some catering to families, some to business travellers and others to those visitors wanting to be directly on the beach.
A great thing about staying in a three-star hotel in Pattaya is that even if the hotel does not have a restaurant, though more than half do, there is a plethora of options to choose from within a short walking distance. International and Thai cuisine can be found everywhere, as can open-air beer bars. Those staying in a three-star hotel in Pattaya proper will also have easy access to its infamous nightlife.
Pattaya is located around 150kms southeast of Bangkok, with its two airports serving the resort town. Some three-star hotels can arrange for airport pickup, though there are minibuses that run directly from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya. It is also possible to get a taxi from either of Bangkok’s airports directly to Pattaya for a reasonable fee.
