"Garden view swimout was amazing; late afternoon sun and felt and sounded like you were in the jungle. Food was good, but inconsistent. Portion sizes fluctuated wildly. Never strayed to the Family Side to eat, more than enough options on the Adults Only Side. Bartenders and staff were great, drinks were strong, housekeeping was thorough, mini-bar refills were hit and miss. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend."

"We had to switch rooms because the room that we had wasn’t the one we booked, and the room did not smell or felt clean. After we switched rooms it looked better and clean. The staff was amazing at Riu but the food was horrible it was the same meal served everyday. Overall I would rate my stay 6/10, the staff was amazing, but the food and rooms could’ve been better."

"The app for dinner reservations was ridiculous! You could only book a reservation for that day only and the privilege members got reservations first. The first come restaurants you could never get in not even at 9pm at night. Hours for the restaurants were 6pm to 10 pm which wasn’t enough time to seat all the people at the resort. The buffet was just “ok”. The app showed activities but then didn’t have them! Never saw water aerobics at any pool like it was advertised on the app The main entertainment didn’t start until 9:30pm. The activities at the pool weren’t every day and started at 3:30-4pm when they should start early when everyone is at the pool. The resort is beautiful and the beaches are clean but I wouldn’t go back there!"

"Upon arrival the young lady that helped us was good. Persons going should speak Spanish. The resort lovely however the staff need to speak English a little better. To accommodate everyone. Myself and husband was sick the moment we walked in the room. There was a strong odour of mildew or mold. The nights were long we coughed every night. When we were out and about it was ok. The moment we went to bed. Coughing up heavy mucus! Now because of the language barrier we could not readily explain what we were feeling. I took pics of what I saw. When I got back home from my vacation my daughter said “why do you guys smell like mold. I didn’t tell her about it, but she could smell it. All my clothes needs to be washed. I also had a do not disturb sign on my door, how is it that twice the door was barely knocked and we were walked in on. The bed is located directly in front of the door. Just imagine what embarrassing scene that could be! No extra safety bolt. Beautiful place, beautiful beach, the hustlers on the beach disgusting no peace. Also the guys driving on the go-cart, they are time share sellers, annoying and they lie to get you to go to a presentation. BE AWARE! We went on an excursion to the countryside the local culture to see how coffee/cocoa is grown and made. I truly enjoyed that. The tour guide angel and Felix the driver from “Bavaro Runners Safari”was great!😊 overall experience just ok."

"Everything about this resort is outstanding. It’s massive and never feels crowded. Staff is great and the property is beautiful, lots of activities and very family friendly. There’s basically a huge outdoor mall within the resort with shops, restaurants, bars and anything else you can think of. Rooms are big and clean. The only exception is the food, which is only OK. Some days it’s better than others. If they slightly improved the quality of the food this resort would be a 10/10."
