I had a 10/10 experience there at Lopesan for my 25th birthday! I couldn’t have asked for a better time!! The staff was amazing, the views were gorgeous, the culture is incredible. Only thing to note is the food is like 7/10 but I didn’t go for the food lol.

This resort is off the hook ! Absolutely enjoyed everything about it. A lot of options for the food, amazing atmosphere, excellent staff. So many things to do on the resort, great excursions. Granted you might not even have to leave the resort because there’s so many things to do in the resort. I’ve been trying to travel to different islands but this resort makes me want to come back. 10000/10 you won’t regret it.

Loved all of it! Wish pools and beach were open later than 6 pm.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities

The staff was friendly, the pools were good but we were without AC for 24 hours. I know things happened, but for them to be a big resort they need to always have a plan B. Also the food was ok, but they can do better.

Excellent, just came back yesterday the only thing I didn’t like was that kids cannot eat at the Restaurant el Asador. The rest the hotel is really a 5 star in all aspects, the rooms are clean, and well maintain, the animation and activities by the pool, the food is amazing in all restaurants and buffets, the first 2 days you will never find a reservation for the restaurants, but after that at 1200 am, you log in on the app and find it, that’s how I was able to make a reservation. For sure I will return next year and I will recommend it to all my family and friends. 100%.

I was so surprised that when we checked in no one tried to upsell us anything. Very smooth check in. I have two kids and they both had fun. We explored every corner of the resort. We tried all the restaurants… food at the buffets wasn’t the best but it had a good diversity. We love “sancochon” very simple stew of meats with white rice and avocado it was our favorite. Staff was nice and helpful! Cracking jokes with us and our kids. Already planning our next visit here with more family members

Brought my teenage daughters here for their birthday. While this is a very beautiful and well maintained resort. So many pools. My biggest issue was food. The worse food I’ve had at any resort. The buffet and breakfast was horrible. The other restaurants have either certain days they open or reservations only. Was unable to get a reservation because everything we tried to book was fully booked. How no reservations and we pay for all inclusive is beyond me. I paid for an ocean view room and was so far back that I was only able to see the tropical view. The service was good. The ppl was helpful and nice. The food was my only issue. We basically ate fruit only. They should look into hiring new buffet chefs because the buffet is normally my safe option for every resort I’ve stayed at. Also way too much pork.

I recently stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro, and while the resort has many beautiful features, the overall experience did not justify the price. First, I want to recognize **Luis Santana from the VIP Lounge**. He provided exceptional customer service from the moment we arrived. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about helping us. Whenever we had a concern, he listened, found solutions, and made us feel valued. He was, without question, the highlight of our stay. The resort itself is stunning. The grounds are immaculate, the pools are beautiful, and the rooms are modern and visually impressive. Unfortunately, the service throughout the rest of the resort was disappointing. Many employees were dismissive and rude, often making us feel like they didn’t care about the guest experience. Hospitality should make guests feel welcomed, and that was largely missing. The food was below expectations for a luxury all-inclusive resort. The alcohol served was also very low quality. Although the rooms are beautiful, the linens smelled terrible, and I had to request that all the bedding be changed more than once. Overall, I give Lopesan Costa Bávaro 3 out of 5 stars. Luis Santana deserves special recognition for his outstanding service, but the lack of hospitality, poor food and drinks, and cleanliness issues made this resort feel overpriced for what it offers. I expected a much better experience for the cost.

GREAT if you are looking for: - Amazing pools. Visit Lopesan Splash Cove (neighboring resort pool) for the most impressive pool with waterfalls that I have ever seen! - Spacious rooms with modern, lovely decor. Beautiful groundskeeping and an upscale, clean resort. - Friendly staff and awesome food with fantastic dining experiences. Pick the Goldfish for lunch and get the fresh grilled fish. For dinner, pick the Italian, Hibachi and the steakhouse (get the ribeye). JUST OKAY, if you are looking for: - The best drinks, because with the exception of the pina coladas, they taste like mixes and not real juice or fruit. Also ask for the better alcohol to be used. - The casino, The Valley (American bar), ice cream/coffee shops were not worth going back to IMO. NOT SO GREAT, if you are looking for: - A serene beach view, instead you’ll get a bunch of boats parked just off shore, all day, everyday. - A quiet beach lounge experience, instead you’ll get hassled for excursions, braids, henna and jewelry. Do your research on the excursions and make sure they actually take you to snorkel area they say they are taking you to. (FYI - We booked with a beach vendor who had a permit to be onsite) - Beautiful blue water, instead this time of year you’ll get brown water with lots of sargassum. You’ll have to visit the other side of the island or take an excursion to Saona island. Just be prepared to do that with hundreds of other people. The water their is beautiful though!

- Property is great, full of things to do and well maintained. From the pool, to the water part and slides, the kids were always entertained. multiple restaurants and buffet and a 24 hours american restautant. - Service was terrible, the staff seemes to not care about the guest satisfaction. multiple times we order somthing and it never arrives. pool service is terrible, especially on the main pool where there is no swim up bar, so you had go to the bar everytime since the pool service only showed up one a day and if you are lucky they will take your order and actually bring it to you. there is a huge language barrier and the staff didnt mke any effort to understand us. they will just do what they are trained to do. - Several times we order drinks for the kids with no alcohol, but they still bring it with alcohol and we had to send it back. - the food was OK at best. the italian and mexican restaurant were good, but everythign else was just OK. - Service and hospitality is not good there at all. the staff seemed to not want to work or do anything. they were always on their phones even the life guards, and I mean standing in the walk ways scrolling all the time. - Room service was good and fast. front desk didnt explain anything about the app and the reservation process, we had to figuer it out on our own. - If you speak spanish you will be ok, but if you are an American who only speaks english, you will have a hard time at that resort. Try to avoid it.
