Fantastic setting, beautiful rooms and amenities, and 5-star service. This is a family-run guesthouse, and Maria knows the area, the history, the products, and the hospitality business. Just a gem. I regret that I didn’t build in a day just to relax, visit one or 2 of the nearby (5 minute drive) wineries, and relax by the pool...

From the kid’s mini soccer field, to the wine tasting, and the incredible dinner and breakfast, one night wasn’t enough to soak it all in. We hope to return to this magical place! "

"Very scenic, small historic vineyard property, set on terraced hillside not far from the Douro River. Staff was very nice and helpful, and prepared a wonderful breakfast. Very clean, charming room. Not walking distance to the town, but parking on site. Should be comfortable with heights, and mountain driving on a steep switchback road, but prize is the amazing view."
