"Eclectic hotel consisting of many different buildings, with a nice inner garden area. Our room was noisy, as it was in a major pathway area and had stairs inside the room. Lots of trip hazards at thresholds. Be aware most European hotels don't have stand alone showers, which requires you to climb into a rather high tub to take a shower..not many grab handles for securing. It was really a vibe with gorgeous views - had we of not had this… the issues with service would have felt a little heavier… We had issues with our room smelling however , the reception team were fantastic and really did everything they could to resolve the problem within their power to make sure it didn’t ruin our trip - despite a few hiccups we would definately go back thanks to the team that really tried to make things...

"The hotel was under construction so it was a bit noisy! If I was a manager, I would give some perks to guests for their inconvenience like one free breakfast or something. The staff was great though and did everything in their power to make our stay comfortable. Hats off to the front desk person who took care of my stay and room. We even received a free bottle of wine and dessert to celebrate our anniversary. A big shout out to Ahmed and Laurens, the concierges, they were so willing to help...

"We were assigned to a superior room we hitch included an A-frame bedroom on a lower level with stereo stairs and A-frame beams to hit your head on at night. They changed us to a less superior room all on one floor, but the price was only 25 Euros less out of around 250 Euros. The service, however, was outstanding"

"Being the old shipping house, this hotel has an usual layout. Very nice restaurant and bar (food was very good) and the staff were all wonderful. Wendy and Vasiliki at the front desk and Dale and Bowie at the bar, who managed things very well when it was super busy. A few of the canal from my room was a bonus and it's a very short walk to central station."

"I really liked this property! It was very central and convenient location wise. I was a little unlucky during my stay as the fire alarm went off at 1.30am and disturbed my stay, asking us to evacuate and then stopped with no commentary nor did the check out staff mention anything when I checked out. My room was also right on the front on walking level which didn’t make me feel too safe as a woman travelling solo- people could see directly into my room from the street. Otherwise a lovely hotel...

"Beautiful boutique hotel. A tremendous amount of thought and effort went into the interior. The bed and bedding were exceptional. The bathroom was meticulous although a larger trash receptacle is needed. The rooms are smaller yet comfortable. Exquisite artwork and mosaics throughout.
