"Great hotel. Small room but had everything we needed and very modern. Not enough staff at breakfast time but those working did their very best. Would have been lots of choice if they could keep up with the top ups but some greedy people took more than they needed which meant things ran out quickly. Was an extremely busy weekend. We would definitely stay again when in the area. Lovely bar. Didn’t use leisure facilities. Nice addition having a Starbucks on site. "

"Excellent location easy to find. We arrived at midnight after a concert in Cardiff. The night were very helpful and even served us with a bottle of wine & glasses to take to our room. Our room was of a much better standard than we were expecting too"

"A very clean room and bathroom. Room amenities were good, apart from only having 1 bed pillow each which wasn’t to our liking. If staying at this property, perhaps recommend staying on 1st floor as our room was ground floor and the noise from upstairs guests was very loud - not much in terms of sound insulation. "Characterful property in open countryside with good free parking. A car is needed for getting about as no immediate public transport (40 minute walk to nearest bus stop). Set in lovely grounds with seating outside for warmer days and plenty inside when it isn't so nice. Large room with bath and shower though minmal sockets and not near bed. Good for relaxing and not being distracted by phones. There was an event on the evening we stayed but music stopped by 11pm. Great for a relaxing break. "

"Great property. There is a small check in desk just behind the bar area. Staff at check were super friendly. Room clean and spacious and super king size bed really comfortable. We had a room for 3-4 so had a super king size and then a single bed in the room. Would definitely use again when in the area. O my downsize was it’s quite costly for a pub hotel at £125. "
