This is under 10min from downtown Seward but still far enough away to feel like a sweet woodsy retreat. The chalet is two stories and features a beautifully appointed full kitchen and fridge with everything you need to cook meals, minus the food. "I was pleasantly surprised when i first walked in. The hotel has been updated and the photos posted are of the older interior. I wasn't able to take photos to show the lobby with the updated interior and furniture. They also have a small shop with food and drinks avaliable for purchase. The beds were comfortable, staff was helpful!"

Plenty of soaps and shampoos, I would add some lotion. Big frig, fan and blow dryer were nice. Only negative is the walls are very thin, I could hear our neighbor snore!"

"Hotel is a vintage building. Room was small but very clean. Bathroom was vintage but water pressure and temp were fine. It took awhile to get into the building and reach our room because we couldn’t get someone to answer the phone and give us the entry code to the building and our room. Picture on website was not an accurate representation of our room. Would not recommend if you have difficulty climbing steps. "

"This is a wonderful, peaceful and gorgeous property at the end of the road in Seward. Kendall is an excellent and engaging host, and runs a beautiful establishment in a beautiful location. At times it can be a little challenging to get there since bus service doesn't run and some taxis in Seward don't like to go down the dirt road, but call Bob at 907-362-9090 and he will take you there. For us the isolation of the place made it all worthwhile. You can sit for hours and just take in the majestic...
